Living Positions bringt eine Auswahl an herausragenden zeitgenössischen, in Wien entstandenen und auch international erfolgreichen Produktionen aus den Bereichen Tanz, Theater, Musiktheater und Performance wieder auf die Bühne. Bisher waren diese Produktionen nur an wenigen Tagen in Wien zu sehen.

Living Positions lädt dazu ein, besondere, experimentelle, genreübergreifende Stücke neu zu entdecken.

In Italo Calvinos „Sechs Vorschläge für das neue Jahrtausend“ bilden Leichtigkeit, Schnelligkeit, Genauigkeit, Anschaulichkeit und Vielschichtigkeit eine Poetik, die man in sämtlichen Kunstsparten anwenden und auch auf Gesellschaft und Politik übertragen kann. Sie sind auch die thematische Grundlage für die Zusammenarbeit von Musiker*innen von PHACE mit dem Komponisten Arturo Fuentes, dem Choreografen Chris Haring und den Performer*innen von Liquid Loft, sowie Günter Brus.

Alles, was auf der Bühne geschieht, wird in Form einer „akustischen Geschichte“ gedacht. PHACE und die Performer*innen der Company Liquid Loft interpretieren eine Musik, die sich in ständiger Bewegung befindet, einem harmonischen Regen gleich, der fragmentarisch auf die sich auf der Bühne befindenden Körper fällt. Musikalische und visuelle Szenarien werden kreiert, in denen eine Körperbewegung einen klanglichen Rhythmus brechen kann oder ein gezeichneter Strich eine Reihe von neuen Ereignissen bestimmen kann.

Living Positions brings back to the stage a selection of outstanding contemporary productions from the fields of dance, theater, music theater and performance. So far, these productions have only been shown in Vienna for a few days. Living Positions invites you to rediscover special, experimental,
cross-genre pieces that were created in Vienna and also internationally successful.

In Italo Calvinos “Six Memos for the Next Millenium” the five completed essays Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility and Multiplicity constitute a poetics that should be transferable across all art forms and also be applicable to society and politics. They are also the thematic basis for the collaboration of musicians from PHACE with the composer Arturo Fuentes, the choreographer Chris Haring and the performers of Liquid Loft, as well as Günter Brus, one of the most radical representatives of Viennese Actionism.

Everything that happens on stage is imagined as an “acoustic story”. PHACE and the performers of the company Liquid Loft interpret a music that is in constant motion, like a harmonic rain that falls in fragments on the bodies on stage. Musical and visual scenarios are created in which a body movement can break a sonic rhythm, or a drawn line can determine a series of new events.
